Dear Sharon,
Lindsay’s wedding was nothing less than superb, and we have you and everyone at Currier & Chives to thank for it. From the moment Lindsay and I walked into your office, it was Kismet. Your delightful personality and commanding charm made us feel comfortable immediately. Your obvious depth of knowledge about how to make an event work and the exquisitely prepared food offered at the tasting persuaded us in less than a heartbeat that your team would be managing Lindsay’s wedding. We couldn’t be happier with the choice we made.
Flawless is a word that rarely applies to the management of close timetables, complicated logistics and emotional family members. Never mind that we added a couple of dogs in formal attire, a torn bridal gown just seconds before the ceremony, and the dramatic unexpected arrival of a boyfriend from Florence, Italy to the mix just for fun! But flawless is what we got from you and this is one mother of the bride who will always be grateful. I don’t know how you managed two venues so effortlessly, or how it was possible for your staff to be everywhere at every minute when something had to be done. Whenever I looked up, someone from Currier & Chives was there to see what I needed and make it happen. This was true not just for me and the bridal party, but for every one of our 175 guests. Amazing.
I am particularly grateful for yours and the staff’s sensitivity and support at the news that a beloved friend died just hours before the ceremony.
It is such a happy thing to offer high praise when well deserved, and it is so very well deserved here and now. I daresay that in this case, my high praise is particularly well informed. In my long career, I have planned and managed events for governors, members of the U.S. Congress, heads of state (Ireland, Canada and the Philippines), sparkling celebrities (Jackie O, JFK Jr, Jon Bon Jovi, playwright Arthur Miller to name a few), a vice president’s family, countless diplomats, Nobel Peace Laureate Elie Wiesel and even His Royal Highness Charles, Prince of Wales. He’s very charming by the way, as well a prince should be!
I share this not to trumpet my own happy career, but to point out that when it comes to events I really know what I’m talking about. And what I’m talking about here is the fact that you gave Lindsay a wedding worthy of royalty.
Thank you. Thank you.
Please share my sentiments and extend my warmest gratitude to everyone who worked so hard to make Lindsay’s wedding unforgettably joyful. If we ever do this again (perish the thought!) you will surely hear from me. In the meantime, please use me as a referral for prospective clients whenever you like.
I hope sincerely that our paths will cross again.
Sincerely,
Linda C. McConchie
P.S. Did I mention that the food was exceptional? No? Well, the food was exceptional!
